Local restauranteurs, Bobby Saenz and Daniel Pompa, the creators of the local, family-owned Wing Barn Restaurants are the brains behind BarnYard Burger & Bar.
“We’ve always thought that a gourmet restaurant would be received well in Brownsville,” said Saenz, CEO and owner. “Our community is growing, and we think it’s time for an elevated dining option. We’re not fast food and we’re not a fancy steak house. BarnYard Burger and Bar is a place for a nice night out, where you can dress up, eat specialty premium provisions, drink elevated cocktails and experience great service.”

BarnYard Burger and Bar specializes in Burgers; however, it also offers a full menu, including appetizers, salads, sandwiches, desserts, signature cocktails, craft beer and wine.
“A few things elevate our burger to the gourmet level,” said Daniel Pompa, co-owner and head chef. “First, the burger patty is made with fresh, quality Akaushi, Bison or Premium Black Angus beef. Next, our burgers are seasoned to perfection and specially cooked to lock in bold flavors. Finally, and the most fun part of elevating the burger to gourmet status, is the toppings. We top our burgers with gourmet cheese, cremini mushrooms, creamy natural peanut butter, berry chipotle jam, applewood smoked bacon, caramelized crown apple onions, and much more.”
A highlight from Barn Yard Burger & Bar is the Brunch menu. Every Saturday and Sunday from 10 AM to 3PM, a robust brunch is offered. From sweet to savory, patrons can enjoy the cinnamon roll burger, sunny avocado toast, chorizo and egg sliders, or carnitas nachos.
To compliment the food, BarnYard Burger and Bar offers mimosa flights, signature cocktails and a full bar with superior quality liquor and wine.
